As quickly as the military rips you away from your friends and family, it places new people into your life who turn to friends quicker than you could ever hope. After Jordan and I had lived here in Southern Pines for a bit, I needed to get out and do something. I joined CrossFit 611, which was East Coast CrossFit at the time. Right as I was getting the handle of everything and being able to dephifer between a snatch and a clean – the gym was bought by two couples, one being the Langleys. They slid in and were the faces I would see every morning. Smiling, willing to help, willing to love and encourage. They were exactly who and what we needed. They supported us, and loved us, and invited us in immediately.
Through the years we had many talks about Texas. Their hearts were there, their family was there, and years after the military put them in other states, they were ready to go back. I am so happy for them being able to go back to familiarity but they will be missed here, for sure! I am so thankful you were put in our lives and even more thankful for social media to continue to stalk (…follow?!) the amazing things you are doing!
Thank you 5 for loving us and helping us more times than we can count! Texas is lucky to have you! xoxo!
